Good questions

Someone called or a pop-up said my computer has a virus. What do I do?

Hang up, or close the browser. Microsoft, Apple and your bank will never call you about a virus or put a phone number in a pop-up. Don’t let anyone connect to your computer, and don’t pay with gift cards. Then call us and we’ll check it over.

Is it worth fixing, or should I buy a new one?

We’ll tell you straight. If a repair or an upgrade makes sense, we’ll quote it. If buying new is the better deal, we’ll say so, and we can set the new one up and move your files over.

Will you tell me the price before you start?

Yes. We look at it first, explain what’s wrong in plain English, and give you the price. Nothing gets done until you say OK.

Do you really come to the house?

Yes. We make house calls across Forsyth County, Hall County and Dawson County, for homes and small offices. Call us to set up a time. After-hours and weekend appointments are available too.

Are you the same shop as Computer Medics of Lanier?

Yes. Same shop, same family, same address on Hammond Industrial. We’re just going by Computer Medic now.
